Self-starter requiring minimal supervision. Must have ability to make logical decisions as it relates to the maintenance of the equipment or utilization of the crew. Position may require occasional coverage on all shifts.
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Maintains communication flow with supervisor, employee and team leaders on changes, concerns, or feedback to the department's operation and process.
- Accurately uses quality gauges to monitor the production process and log information.
- Maintains process controls in accordance with established quality standards
- Produce fixtures as guides in assembling, fitting and trimming operations.
- Operate machinery (edge banding, saws, sanders, CNC ETC), and fabricate fixtures for assembly.
- Drives forklift, tugger and pallet jack as required (with certifications).
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Becomes skilled at identifying product names, codes, labels, ID numbers and associated components.
- Required to occasionally work within a confined space for a short period of time for equipment maintenance.
- Follows designated work and safety procedures when working with chemicals.
- Serves as technical contact for workers within the area.
- Maintains good housekeeping standards.
- Maintains integrity and overall appearance of all operational equipment.
- Maintains appropriate control of tools and parts.
- Assists maintenance as required during repairs and PM's.
- Performs direct labor functions as required.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment & maintain regular attendance.
- Must be able to work overtime as business need dictates.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Coordinate crew as required. Assists in planning, assigning, and directing work in coordination with the supervisor and team leader.
Quality Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 0 to 3 years of Experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Lockout Certifications
- Must be certified as an "authorized" logout tagout associate
- Forklift Certifications
- PFT Certifications
