We are looking for a Buying Intern to join our team and support our buying department. This is an excellent opportunity for any Business, Merchandising or Communication student looking for buying experience in the luxury beauty space. As a Buying intern you will be responsible for assisting the buying team in the following tasks

As a Buying intern you will be responsible for assisting the buying team in the following tasks
RESPONSIBILITIES
Dedicated Programs
1. Web Audit
- Working with Cos Bar’s respective Buyers, brand partners and E-commerce team to ensure the website reflects Cos Bar’s current assortment
- Create and own a web audit tracker to identify 100% of in-store brand assortment is on the respective brand navigation with correct pricing, copy and imagery
2. New Brand & Competitive Analysis Presentation
- Conduct market research within the luxury beauty space and identify white space opportunities for Cos Bar
- Present final competitive analysis project to Buying, Planning, Marketing and CEO at the end of the semester
3. Product Classification Audit
- Ensure color, benefit, & collection are correct for every SKU on Cos Bar’s current assortment
Return to Vendor Support
- Follow up with Store Managers to ensure timely completion of RTV requests
- Chase vendors to provide Return Authorizations (RA) for operational RTV requests
- Vouchering both buyer initiated & operational RTVs
Maintain accurate records of Buying shared documents
- Vendor Out of Stock List
- Behind the Bar Internal Communication Platform
- Brand Contact List
- Return to Vendor Log
New Product Launch Support
- As needed by Buyer, follow up on any outstanding copy and digital image assets for new launches and communicating to E- Commerce team
- In collaboration with Marketing and Buyer, request any new launch comp requests for marketing placement
- Online audit to ensure new launches are offered online within launch period and escalating to appropriate cross-functional teams for execution
Inventory Management and Sales Reporting
- As needed by Buyer, follow up with appropriate vendor partner in regards to past cancel and partially received PO’s
- Pull and distribute monthly sales reports for a select group of vendors
Market Week Support
- Support the buying team in semi-annual market appointments
- Assist with calendar scheduling and gratis delivery
- Attend select market appointments and provide follow up notes for Buyer
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Education:
- College Student or equivalent for course credit
Work Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Merchandising, Communication or related field
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and follow through with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and with multiple stores, vendors and cross-functional teams on a daily basis
- Self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile
- Flexibility and ability to wear many hats
- Energetic with a positive attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite, especially Excel, Gmail and Google Sheets
- A strong interest in the luxury retail industry and passion for beauty
