Window Works is a fast paced Construction based small business in San Francisco, specializing in 3M Adhesive based Solutions, Window Films & Coatings for Safety, Security, Heat Rejection, Sun Control & Architectural Decorative films.
The Buyer/Vendor AP/Merchandiser will be responsible for managing Material assets in our Window Film Line of Business, collaborating closely with Sales, Projects and Operations. This position takes the lead in all issues of Materials (products) related to production and performance of works to fulfill our Contracts.
This is a part-time position (25-30 hrs) working out of our South San Francisco office.
Job Description & Overview:
Purchase & manage Material Assets pertaining to our Construction Business Model. Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of product to determine value and yield. Select, order, and authorize payments according to contractual agreements. Monitor Returns & Credits of go-backs & defects. Conduct meetings with sales personnel to introduce new products, manage Communications, Product Bulletins or Updates on new or evolving product lines.
Procurement - Purchasing - Buyer Role
Vendor Management
Negotiate prices, discount terms, or transportation arrangements with suppliers
Collaborate with vendors to obtain or develop desired products
3M Coop Program Management
Long Lead Discount Management
Manage Long Lead, Meet Comp & Discount Histories
Manage Bulk or Volume order communication with 3M & Distributor Partners

Conduct Sales Team Meetings on new Product Launches, Technical Bulletins & updates
Recommend mark-up rates, markdown rates, or product selling prices
Analyze Client needs & requirements for Procurement adjustments
Monitor and analyze sales records, trends, or economic conditions to anticipate consumer buying patterns for determination of Company Material positioning
Projects - Asset Management
Collaborate with Projects Dept to determine Material requirements for ongoing projects
Collaborate with Projects Dept on upcoming Awarded Project needs, budgets & timelines
Co-manage Inventory with Inventory Specialists
Accounts Payable - Vendor AP
Billing management - invoices, returns, corrections, etc.
AP Scheduling for Products and Business Operations
Authorize payment of invoices or return of products
Authorize Disbursement of funds pertaining to Material Procurement, Returns, etc.,
Technical Skills:
Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
Analyzing needs and product requirements.
Generating or adapting equipment and technology to serve user needs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or related field

Have 5-10 years relevant experience in the Construction industry
Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision
Understanding and proficiency in Google Suite, Quickbooks, Office and other productivity software
Mobile applications
Tagalog speaker a plus!
Salary and Benefits:
$25-$30/hr commensurate with experience
