Job Description:
Join our company as a Buyer & Planner!
This role is responsible for maintaining inventory levels required for effective company operation and conducting regular price comparisons, looking for supplier promotions to leverage the best price for products purchased.
Responsibilities:

• Submit requests to extend stock of new materials.
• Research and request replacement materials.
• Create and change plant purchasing information records with vendor, price and flag info record for deletion.
• Researching shipping cost and suggest price adjustments reflecting the shipping cost.
• Assist sales and planning with inventory.
• Provide eta updates on goods and overdue shipments.
• Develop process for measuring supply inventory and determine purchasing needs based on monthly, seasonal, and annual numbers.
• Handle shortages, overages, and damaged goods.
• Act as liaison with other departments.
• Produce and maintain all reports related to purchasing and prepare inventory forecasts for sales team.
• Notify the sales department of any manufacturer discontinued items, long term shortages and price increases.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED
• 1 year of purchasing and planning experience
• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office - (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Exhibit strong organizational, decision making and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of Animal Health industry experience
• 4+ years purchasing and planning experience in related industry, including:
• Experience in mMaterial planning and forecasting using ERP tools, preferably SAP.
• Inventory Management experience, including excess and obsolete management.
• Previous experience in a Distribution/Logistics environment

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.
$52,100.00 - $65,700.00
