PositionOverview: Siemens Mobility Customer Serviceis seeking a Buying Professional for our Order Management and Logistics Team.The position will be responsible for P2P process and the order management of aset group of product commodities including a strong focus of materials thathave been designated as subcontracting. The position will issue purchaseorders to approved suppliers to obtain materials at the lowest cost consistentwith quality reliability in addition to managing the delivery of components tothe awarded subcontractor and the urgency of need for the final assembledmaterial.

This individual will maintain lead times for custom and standardproduct orders, manage supplier relationships, align with our StrategicProcurement team to monitor supplier performance, supplier quality as we asnegotiated terms and conditions. This position will assist the strategicprocurement team in executing commodity strategies at a tactical level.Ideally, this position will be seated at McClellan Park (Sacramento), CAhowever we will also consider candidates close to our New Castle, DE andLexington, NC plants with a remote hybrid schedule. What yourday-to-day will look like: Analyze subcontracting Bill of Materials (BoM),existing inventory at plants and subcontractors, and open purchase orders ofcomponents and final assembly parts.

Execute complex buying strategies to purchaseand arrange timely deliveries of supplies and materials; expedite as needed andserve as liaison between vendors, lower-level component buyers and users,getting prior approval for purchases more than established limits. Resolve complex delivery, quality or otherrelated problems with purchases and invoices. Review and target supplier delivery improvementsand late order resolution.

Track the vendor's progress against the originaland/or revised schedule, invoice reconciliation. Controlling and Performance GoodsReceipts/Invoice Receipts (GRIR). Work with cross-functional business partners aswell as Supply Chain Management (SCM) network, accounting, financial andcontrolling.

Contribute to implementation and ensure usage ofglobally defined methods, processes, and systems to ensure high processefficiency and process compliance (e.g., compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P)process, Procurement guidelines, IT systems). Update project plans and purchasing systems;review and analyze requisitions and supply plans for domestic and internationalpurchases. Define, communicate, and track scheduling, risk,change, opportunities, and resource management.

Work in conjunction with strategic procurement,supplier quality and logistics for improving total cost of ownership ofproducts/services. Leverage existing procurement processes andcompliance while seeking to identify best management practices, improvedprocurement processes and other continual improvement initiatives to facilitateefficient processes. To thrive inthis role, you have: Bachelor's degree in SCM, Business Admin, Economics, or Engineering preferred.

In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered, Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience ina manufacturing environment, Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Excellently demonstrated verbal and writtencommunication skills, Excellent Customer Service skills, Ability to work in a team-oriented environmentwhile maintaining an individual workload, Setting you apart fromothers would be knowledge of SAP and subcontracting concepts within SupplyChain Management with intermediate MS Excel (VLOOKUP, IF, Pivot tables, etc.) skills. Experience working in the transportationIndustry along with experience with Robotic Process Automation and otherdigitalization initiatives is a plus. Why you'll love working for Siemens!

The base salary range for this position inSacramento, CA or New Castle, DE is $70,800-$95,700 and in Lexington, NC is$64,400-$87,000. The actual salary/wage offeredmay be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge,skills, and qualifications.
