Buyer Assistant

Frontier Door and Cabinet is the leading manufacturer of the Pacific Northwest for Doors, Millwork, Cabinets, and Hardware. Our 100,000 square foot facility is based out of Tacoma, WA. Frontier Door and Cabinet is experiencing tremendous growth, with high market potential, and is seeking an dynamic, upbeat Buyer to join our team!

As a Buyer at Frontier Door and Cabinet, you will:

• Purchase materials based on company needs based on stock, inventory, projects and plans as well as the understanding of general sales and market trends.
• Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reducing operating costs and boosting efficiency.
• Maintaining cordial working relationships with vendors and supervising vendor activities
• Signing and reviewing purchasing agreements with vendors, monitoring their performance and renegotiating contracts
• Using quarterly and annual data to determine purchasing needs and performing inventory management.
• Managing purchase orders, overseeing shipping schedules and maintaining purchase records
• Working with warehouse staff to compare deliveries with purchase orders to identify discrepancies.
• Conducting ongoing market research to identify beneficial purchase agreements and potential vendors.

Education and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or other administrative roles

Qualification Requirements:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
• Task and detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and milestones.
• Good written and professional verbal communication skills.
• Able to exercise good judgment.
• Regular attendance.
• A sense of urgency and a passion for customer and company satisfaction
• Ability to understand read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
