J
ob Purpose

Provides Business Unit Leadership for a construction company specializing in interior and structural demolition, and abatement services.


Essential Functions

Drives business development, develops, and leads project teams, ensures that project portfolios are executed safely, with excellence and integrity. The incumbent has full profitability responsibilities, promotes, and nurtures strong client relationships within the industry.

  • Develop forecasts and financial goals for the branch.
  • Develop and deliver results against the branch’s budget, P/L.
  • Coordinate efforts and resources with other branch offices and Business Units.
  • Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget and at or above the expectations of the client.

Work Environment

Operates in a normal office environment, but also requires considerable time in the field. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. Must be able to walk across rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly requires work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent occasionally lifts heavy objects, walks, and stands for extended periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.


Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours, holidays, and weekend work.


Travel

The role requires travel, up to 20%.


Required Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of self-performing experience in the remediation, abatement and/or demolition industry.
  • Experience managing a regional office ranging in size of $5m to 10m in annual revenue.
  • Demonstrated results in business development and client care.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and deliverable performance.
  • Demonstrated experience writing successful proposals, work plans and estimates.
  • Experience and proven proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but is not required.
