About the Role:
The Business Systems Analyst - Finance is responsible for the development, implementation and administration of Purchasing Department systems and processes. This position provides various departmental reporting. The Business Systems Analyst I evaluates Business Systems and processes, recommends process improvements and provides support for Purchasing and other GM Financial Departments as requested.
In this role you will:
- Improve systems, controls and business processes by analyzing current practices or operational procedures and designing or recommending modifications
- Assist in development and implementing business strategies to improve operational processing and productivity
- Provide support for users by writing and maintaining system documentation, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, providing user support and training
- Maintain system protocols by writing and documenting complete, concise and comprehensive operation procedures
What makes you a dream candidate?
- You will develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Procurement systems to thoroughly understand functionality and identify potential defects.
- You will perform comprehensive analysis and drive conversations to understand moderately complex current/future workflows, change requests, or bugs and then document.
- You will contribute within an agile environment by tracking and completing sprint tasks and peer reviews accurately and timely.
- You will create and follow test scripts and facilitate UAT
- You will collect, analyze, and trend data using pivot tables, vlookups and/or system logic.
- Must be a self-starter who can work well within an agile team. Also must work well with cross functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Preferred exposure to Access, Projectplace, PowerBi, Sharepoint, Service Now, Oracle, Visio, and/or administration of SaaS solutions.
- Above average ability to read, write and troubleshoot expressions, formulas, functions, and system logic. Preferred exposure to programming languages such as VBA or Python.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1+ years in a Business Systems Analyst role, Purchasing Department or functionally related area required
