Under direct supervision of the Business Service Officer I (Supervisor) the Business Service Assistant assists in processing requests for service agreements, contract services, Service & Expense Orders and complex purchases; maintains pagers and cell phones for staff; acts as a lead person for the clerical staff in Procurement; inputs, creates, reviews and produces recycle reports; works with various State agencies including Department of General Services, Traffic Management Division, Office of Business Services; and vendors who sell products or services to the State.

High Desert State Prison is located approximately eight miles east of the town of Susanville, or about a 1 hour 30 minute drive northwest of Reno, Nevada.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. If it is determined an applicant does not meet the Minimum Qualifications, the candidate will be withheld from the eligibility list, rendering them inactive and ineligible to be hired for the position. Candidates new to CDCR are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
