Job description

Join the JP Morgan's FBRT (Firmwide Business Resiliency Team) at the analyst level. On this team you will have to opportunity to join FBRT in their design of the firm's Resiliency Program, including the requirements for Resiliency Planning, Testing, Reporting and Issue Management. When disruptions occur, these practices support the continued operation of the firm's businesses, the markets, and our ability to service of our customers' needs. The FBR group collaborates closely with the firm's senior leadership, the LOB / Functional Resiliency teams, Risk Management and Audit to ensure that the resiliency program is commensurate with the risk-taking activities of the firm. The team is also responsible for providing corporate governance, awareness, and training. The team also ensures that the firm remains in compliance with global laws and regulations as they relate to resiliency risk.

As a Reporting & Analytics Analyst on the Firmwide Business Resiliency Team you will support implementation of key initiatives around enhancement and automation of Month End Reporting of Metrics and Business Control Committee decks, implement new targeted reporting, move reporting onto Dashboards/Analytics and other Business Intelligence tools.

Job responsibilities: 

  • Work with the various line of businesses and Corporate Functions to design and implement new reporting requirements
  • Investigate underlying drivers and identify the potential impacts of Resiliency Risk Metrics.
  • Understand existing Metrics, analyses and reporting and then based on end user feedback, optimize metrics and implement new metrics
  • Participate in projects to optimize and automate reporting that involve data analysis and usage of tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, QlikView, Excel, Access)
  • Effectively collaborate with a global team
  • Develop Subject Matter expertise in Resiliency Planning and associated Risks.

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • BA or BS degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting or data Analysis
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of financial products required 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus
  • A self-starter who is organized and consistently meets deliverables
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, lead initiatives and bring tasks to complete closure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation
  • Good team player who can work well with colleagues of various levels, across multiple locations.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Proficient in ETL/data manipulation tools (Alteryx)
