A Kaniksu Community Health Business Operations Manageris not just responsible for providing excellent customer service. They are committed to providing an excellent patient experience while performing essential clinical or administrative work in a fast-paced, productive environment. YOU ARE an essential team member charged with assisting patients in managing their care at Kaniksu Community Health.

Under the direction of the KCH Director of Nursing, KCH Charge Nurse and Medical Staff Providers and as a member of the Kaniksu Community Health Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Team, a typical day might include of a Business Operations Managermight include;

  • Recruit, hire and coordinate the training of new staff members.
  • Design and implement strategies to help the clinic meet organizational goals, such as quality and access for the patient.
  • Manage front office leads by assigning and delegating tasks.
  • Develop protocols and procedures to improve staff productivity.
  • Utilize knowledge of organization policies, procedures and systems.
  • Supervise staff, develop goals and objectives, improve efficiency of the departments, maintain budget by monitoring overtime and supplies, produce a work schedules for proper staffing of clinics, supporting the development of staff members, ensure staff compliance with annual training, POC, professional licenses, and oversight of the staff.
  • Act as a liaison between patients, their families and additional care staff.
  • Perform quarterly and annual employee reviews and provide constructive feedback on their performance to help them meet professional goals.
  • Remaining up-to-date and knowledgeable with regard to diagnostic and procedure coding, and how it affects reimbursement.
  • Conducting regular performance evaluation on team members
  • Monitoring Quality measures to stay on target.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures function in accordance with state and federal laws.

Experience Needed to Land this Gig:

  • Prior experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Proven success in leadership role.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem solving expertise.
  • Work effectively with staff, patients, public and external agencies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to empower staff to achieve their best professionally and guides them through creative problem solving.
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement when making decisions.
  • Must be customer service oriented and prepared to liaise with patients, their families and other care providers.
  • Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and other third party payer's guidelines.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills of, Critical Thinking, Conflict Management, Negotiation and Motivation, and Personnel Development.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to delegate tasks.
  • Ability to spend long periods of time sitting at a desk.
  • Competency with computer-based healthcare administration systems, like NextGen, I2I and Time Clock.
