Key Responsibilities
The position's main responsibility is to partner with Global level EIO&T and Global Function areas to develop actionable plans to eliminate Stranded Costs within acceptable risk, control and business parameters. The candidate will work as partners to help them identify opportunities to reduce lower value added costs and activities, consider simplification opportunities and then assess the feasibility of delivering the identified ideas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate the methodologies, procedures and governance of the Global Stranded Cost Area to evaluate that the identified saving ideas to meet Stranded Cost Goals by each Business / Functional Area are the least disruptive to the ongoing business.
- Assure savings ideas are of sufficient detail to be fully executable.
- Where deemed appropriate with the Area, assure proposed actions include proper documentation of related dependencies, risks, control implications and business impacts to be assessed by Senior Management.
- Perform analytics and reporting of program status across all areas and geographies.
- Work closely with APAC Stranded Cost team to understand critical dependencies and resolve cross-geography issues.
- Validate all cost saving amounts upon completion of the initiative.
- Provide ongoing access to appropriate Finance and Human Resource areas to assure consistency and timely awareness of committed actions.
- Provide leadership and promote strong business ties with internal and external senior leaders/clients, including executives from across the Citis key businesses, regions and support functions.
Candidate Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor´s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting.
Business and Technical Requirements
- Business, Operations or Technology experience in managing processes or driving organizational changes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to assure savings opportunities and related impacts are presented in a concise manner and structured to permit complete assessment by decision takers.
- Strong financial aptitude coupled with proven quantitative, analytical & strategic planning skills
- Track record of successful operations and execution capabilities, with successful history leading organizational transformation and change management efforts
- Significant experience working in large organizations with complex reporting relationships
- Proven formal budget and process management experience
- Knowledge on different businesses and areas across Citibank (preferred)
- Proficiency in Citibank Financial reports and systems (preferred)
