Summary:
As a Business Intelligence Intern, you will work alongside our team of experienced professionals to coordinate and develop data sources for analytical systems, compile different data sets into a uniform database, collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify business needs and trends and assist with analytical work to explore external key market indicators. This is a full-time internship and will be a hybrid position, requiring in office presence at our Deerfield, IL location 2 days per week. The rest of the work can be performed remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with gathering and organizing data sets into a uniform database
- Analyze and identify insights from data to support business decision-making
- Partner with other departments and teams to identify business needs and provide data-driven recommendations
- Effectively communicate insights and trends through developing reports and visualizations
- Review and analyze large datasets related to product sales in order to identify trends and insights
- Assist in developing sales focused reports by product categories, business units, customers, etc…
- Help with the development of on-line report dashboards at the direction of the Justrite Finance and IT teams
- Update product pricing to accurately reflect the most recent pricing tiers
- Enhance PowerBI Visualization: build out visual trending reporting
- Report Generation: use coding skills to build out PowerBI reports
- Enhance Training & PowerBI Tutorials: willing to work with a training system to build short tutorials on how to navigate and use reports in PowerBI
- Clean Up PowerBI Reporting
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerBI is a must
- Coding skills
- Desire to gain experience in data analysis
- Must be a current student studying Business Analytics, Information Systems or similar field
- 10-week commitment
- Willing to travel to Deerfield, IL or other location for Intern Training Week
- Deliver a comprehensive presentation to management and executives at the end of the
