We are looking for an Business Intelligence Internto join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence and based on-site.
Location: This position will be based in San Jose, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Using technical skills, business acumen and creativity, you will build tools to automate reporting and generate insight that will allow clients to quickly and accurately see key performance indicators
- Perform data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, and Tableau
- Design and implement dashboards and reporting that enables internal clients to access, explore and monitor their data
- Collaborate with other members and cross-functional colleagues to develop meaningful data solutions
- Assist with the development of data analysis models
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks
- Perform ad hoc data investigations analysis as necessary
- The summer intern will work on real-world projects that would be both impactful to Bloom Energy and a beneficial learning experience for the individual. The work assignment will involve one or more of the following projects:
- Build dashboards for analysis and displaying key metrics (work includes both frontend and backend development in AWS)
- Develop product degradation models using cutting edge AI/ML tools and methods
- Develop a tool to monitor energy metrics and compare against contractual requirements
- Perform analysis of energy server performance at customer sites and explore business models to grow revenue
- Improve data integrity by performing analysis of telemetry data and update site system configurations
- Develop optimization models to deploy customer service maintenance schedule to maximize performance and profit while decreasing costs
- Improve cost models and pricing analytics on Bloom Energy's long-term service contracts (including solid oxide fuel cells, hydrogen fuel cells, carbon capture solutions and electrolyzers)
Skills and Experience:
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the following: Data Science or Computer Science. And are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher.
- Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, AWS, and Tableau
- Highly motivated and a self-starter
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation
- Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills
- This internship is scheduled to begin June 2024 and end on approximately August 2024.
