Business Intelligence Developer

The Business Intelligence Developer is a high-visibility role that uses data to enable decisions that drive the business forward. This key function will partner with internal business leaders to ensure the long-term viability of business practices to help guide and improve the way that management fosters operational collaboration within and between departments. The position will also create solutions to complex and ambiguous problems by providing visibility into our data to enable process improvement in all departments.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive analyses to partner with business leaders to develop strategies, evaluate opportunities, and provide clear and concise recommendations.
• Investigate underlying business trends and identify problem areas before trend development.
• Deliver presentations to leadership for measurement, analysis, and improvement.
• Formulate and deliver insights around business problems thoroughly and persuasively.
• Provide analytical support to business partners, highlighting findings with measurable solutions.
• Complete ad hoc requests and demands promptly.
• Support application analysis and data model design to collect data for the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Utilize query, reporting analysis, and data visualization tools to combine data from multiple databases and data warehouses for reporting and analysis purposes to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver clear and well-thought-out dashboards and data visualizations and train business users on best practices for leveraging reports and dashboards.
• Work with the Infrastructure Team to help develop BI tools and systems.
• Query data from source databases using SQL and develop and maintain automated data processes for daily/weekly/monthly reporting.
• Provide mentoring and support to end users.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Capable of frequently operating standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, calculator, and copier/printer; possess sufficient visual acuity to view computer monitors or television screens.
• Able to work extra hours or perform duties outside of a standard schedule if required.

Qualifications, Education & Special Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field such as General Business, Accounting, Marketing, MIS, or Computer Science Mathematics, etc., or equivalent related experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst/Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerBI is required, with additional experience using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL Server Management Studio, etc.
