New England Life Care is hiring a full-time Business Intelligence Developer and Data Analyst to join our growing team! This position is full-time, Monday – Friday.
Job Summary: Responsible for designing, programming, deploying Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics reports and developing Microsoft PowerBI dashboards to meet enterprise-wide needs. Data Analysts will look at complex sets of information to reach conclusions, and they also lead the process of collecting and reporting on new data. Interacts with the business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs. Gathers, documents, and analyzes business needs and requirements. Helps to solve business problems and as needed, designs technical solutions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches.
- Manage and develop PowerBI content and metadata repository (Universe)
- Design, code, test, and aggregate results from SQL queries to provide information to users.
- Apply knowledge of MS SQL Server, SAP Business Objects 4+ to include Universe Designed, Web Intelligence, Xcelsius/Dashboards and Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite 2007+, able to write TSQL for nightly, weekly, monthly data extraction for warehousing data
- Work closely with product owners to develop and present reports and dashboards to the end users.
- Design new reports and reporting solutions from requirements and from an understanding of organizational business needs.
- Participate in the formulation of development procedures, standards, deployment/retirement and archiving as related to the PowerBI tools and applications.
- Assisting in development of project definitions, including proposals, estimates, planning, schedules, and documentation.
- Ability to listen to user requirements and convey messages in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner using the appropriate communication medium
- Participate and contribute the development of a company Data Glossary and Dictionary

Educational & Professional Requirements:
- Knowledge of MS SQL Server, SAP Business Objects 4+ to include Universe Designed, Web Intelligence, Xcelsius/Dashboards and Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite 2007+, able to write TSQL for nightly, weekly, monthly data extraction for warehousing data
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or possess equivalent professional and technical experience
- 1-3 years’ experience developing PowerBI solutions
