Position Purpose
Upholds the Credit Union’s mission of “Doing the Right Thing” by supporting the strategic initiatives and tactical challenges of the credit union from a Business Intelligence and development perspective. Efforts will be focused on opportunities to gain valuable business insights related to operational efficiency and growth opportunities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop dashboards, data sets, and decks that business leaders can utilize for decision-making and strategic planning with limited oversight from management.
- Become the trusted advisor for our business units. Initiate and drive discussions with business partners to identify opportunities for report development, automation, and research.
- Participates in business unit meetings sharing ideas, proposing solutions, and assisting in clarifying data analysis and reports.
- Develops stored procedures, views, custom tables, and defined business rules for reporting and analytic solutions. Develop a combination of simple to complex SQL queries to fulfill stakeholder’s requests.
- Develop data solutions end-to-end, from gathering requirements via business stakeholders to final implementation.
- Maintains a full understanding of how data moves through the various software systems, to identify the best means by which information can be attained for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Design the best methods of integrating data from several different sources and formats for use in data reporting and analysis
- Responsible for the ongoing development of the enterprise data warehouse elements and sources
- Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Embrace change and prioritize competing demands.
- Assists in the coaching and development of Power BI Pros throughout the organization.
Necessary Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Mathematics or Information Technology is preferred.
- Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
- Solid understanding of key data warehouse and relational database concepts and trends. Knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, or other cloud solutions a plus.
- Proficiency writing SQL queries, preferable in SQL Server and Oracle. ETL experience a plus.
- Has strong understanding of credit union data environments including loans, shares, transactions and financial accounting transactions.
- Basic understanding of data modeling
- Proven ability to diagnose and solve data related problems.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to communicate data solutions to diverse credit union audience.

- Minimal lifting of up to 2 pounds
