Janet Fernandez is an award-winning State Farm Agent with over 33+ years of State Farm Agency experience looking to grow our excellent, hardworking team. Our team's mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected and realize their dreams.
We are searching for a competitive Business/Commercial Insurance Producer who can recognize opportunities and strategically turn leads into long-lasting customer relationships. Your knowledge of insurance products and industry trends equips you to communicate directly with clients, identify their needs, and market products or services that maximize value. You may also assist in developing strategies and establishing quotas for our agency.
Requirements: If you are a motivated self-starters with a sales or insurance background who care deeply about people and want to improve their lives with coverage to take care of what matters most, this is may be a great career for you!
Compensation: $50,000-$75,000 Per Year
Our compensation expectations show a range of our salary plus commission system. With our profitable and thriving market and business model, team development, and intentional hiring process, we are confident that you will be successful in achieving high-earning compensation amounts.

This agency serves the entire state of Florida with a focus on re-locations to South Florida. Locally, we serve the communities of Ft. Lauderdale, Cooper City, Davie, Weston, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Sunrise, Tamarac, and Coral Springs. We offer car, home, business, life and health insurance along with 96 other products and services. We also offer free notary and fax services along with a bilingual team of English and Spanish.
Over the years the agency has achieved State Farm awards such as Crystal Honor Agent, SVP Agent, Chairmans Circle Agent, and Ambassador for Life. In the community she enjoys volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, Boward County School Business Partner Program and High School Mentor Program. She frequently speaks at local high schools to young drivers about car insurance. Her passion for education also extends to mentoring over 50 interns, assisting in the training and development of eight employees through the Agent Aspirant program with three now overseeing their OWN agencies!
Janet has been happily married for over 37+ years to her husband who shares a similar educational background both having Business Majors at FSU. They both have three great children (UF Gator, an FSU Seminole, and a neutral Boston College third child). After having survived a horrible a plane crash and a terrible car accident she is thankful for every day and wants to spread her gratitude and zest for life by helping others with proper coverage. She feels fortunate to help people manage their risk and take care of generations of families financially.

- Must currently possess a 220 Insurance License
- Successful Track Record for Meeting Commercial/Business Insurance Sales Goals Required
- Experience in working with Commercial Vehicles Required
- Excellent Communication Skills Written, Verbal, and Auditory
- Self-Motivated
- Ability to Make Presentations to Potential Businesses
- Achievements in Mutually Agreed Upon Marketing Goals
- Use customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
- Develop leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, and market appropriate products and services.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to integrity and success each and every day.
- Work closely in a team environment, participating in weekly meetings and ongoing collaborative efforts.
