Location: Denver, CO, Wallingford, CT, Indianapolis, IN, Mendota Heights, MN, Morristown, NJ, Richmond, VA. Alternate locations will be considered. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Business Information Developer Consultantwill be responsible for developing and executing more complex data mining analyses. This position is in the Pharmacy Operations Business Intelligence team. Our team's mission is to provide services to build meaningful connections, insights and to drive decision-making through data we provide for the organization. We work primarily with the pharmacy operations and compliance departments and focus in on data domains that are pertinent to pharmacy operations data (Benefits, Eligibility, Claims, Prior Authorizations and Member Experience / Call Center). This position will be for our development team that supports data visualizations, data support, and discovery.
How you will make an impact:
  • Determines how decision support systems will provide the data required to make effective business decisions.
  • Performs modeling of information sources and flows.
  • May coordinate the activities of a project team and monitors project schedules and costs for own projects.
  • Develops strategic report applications from the Data Warehouse.
  • Establishes and maintains excellent knowledge of data warehouse database design, data definitions, system capabilities, programming languages, and data integrity issues.
  • Develops and supports complex data warehouse-related applications for business areas requiring design and implementation of database tables.
  • The majority of time will be spent programming.
    Conducts training on use of applications developed.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires a BS/BA degree
  • Minimum of 4 years related experience;
  • Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience in standard Business Information tools and programming/query languages required.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, & Experiences:
  • PC, spreadsheet, and database skills strongly preferred.
  • Ownership and accountability of day-to-day intake requests.
  • Learns data domains and produces ad-hoc reports on time.
  • Coordinates and delivers scheduled reports to stakeholders on time.
  • Works with stakeholders to continue building a culture of data competency.
  • Data extraction/SQL skills.
  • Understanding of how relational database tables work.
  • Quickly learn new environments/tools to visualize data (Tableau / SAS Grid a plus).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Takes accountability and drives results.
  • Pharmacy Data Domain Knowledge is a plus.

For candidates working in person or remotely in Colorado, the salary* range for this specific position is $94,080 to $148,176.
