As a Business Development Representative, you will be making a difference every day by increasing brand awareness and sharing the SERVPRO story. In this role, you will need to be comfortable meeting new people, have excellent communication skills (in-person and online) and be motivated by sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with active customers and perform customer service activities.
  • Understand the competitive advantages of using SERVPRO and gain the ability to effectively educate clients and customers about brand benefits
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen professional relationships with contacts in sales territory by conducting daily marketing calls
  • Raise brand awareness by participating in business events hosted by local businesses including Chamber of Commerce, churches, schools, colleges, universities, property managers, realtors, home builders, Insurance agents, first responders, etc.
  • Educate business contacts about the benefits of Servpro by coordinating and hosting lunch-and-learns, and continuing education (CE) classes
  • Utilize marketing software to document daily marketing calls and track all lead activity and opportunities
  • Grow and develop our social media platforms by adding local and relevant weekly content.
  • Provide management with revenue updates and reports around your assigned sales territory
  • Increase sales territory revenue by consistently achieving and exceeding sales territory goals
  • Continuously learn and develop franchise and industry knowledge through self paced training.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience preferred
  • Very comfortable using information technology (computers, internet, email, tablets, phones, etc).
  • A minimum of two years of direct sales experience
  • Strong process and results driven attitude
  • Experience in the cleaning, restoration, or insurance industry is preferred
  • Excellent Driving Record

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies
  • Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning agents
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law
