Business Development Representative in Hawaii

About NutmegLabs:

At NutmegLabs, our mission is to enhance local experiences for everyone.

We provide an all-in-one “Customer Engagement Platform”, that supports a wonderful customer experience for guests from the time of booking through participation. Our platform digitizes the operator’s business with all-inclusive features that cover digital marketing, sales, operations, and customer relations.

NutmegLabs was founded in 2018 in San Francisco. We rapidly expanded our B2B SaaS business globally despite major disruptions in tourism caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We have existing clients in Hawaii who have seen great success in getting more online direct bookings and achieving dramatically streamlined operations. We are pursuing quick expansion in Hawaii to spread these benefits to more operators.

Since most operators in tours & activities still rely heavily on distributors (OTAs, Agents and Concierge), commissions paid to distributors erode business profits. We bring more direct online bookings to operators to cut down on commissions and support sustainable business growth. As a result, operators can focus on service quality and better guest satisfaction without complications added by distributors. This in turn increases freedom for operators when deciding directions for business growth.

You will win deep trust from operators, and provide better service for guests together with benefits to operators.

Responsibilities:

We are actively seeking a dynamic and proactive Business Development Representative to play a pivotal role in our B2B SaaS company. As a BDR, your primary focus will be on fueling our sales engine, initiating and propelling our revenue generation efforts across the entire sales cycle.

You will be instrumental in identifying potential leads and engaging in strategic outreach to create and nurture business opportunities. Your expertise in effectively mapping customer needs and positioning our solutions will set the stage for successful sales engagements.

Your contribution will be critical not only in building a robust sales pipeline but also in driving our growth strategy by seamlessly transitioning prospects into profitable client relationships. In this role, you will be the cornerstone of our sales efforts, contributing directly to our revenue growth from the initial contact to the final deal closure.

1. Market Research and Analysis:

● Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential growth opportunities, new markets, and emerging trends within the industry.

● Analyze competitive landscapes and gather intelligence on competitors' products, strategies, and market positioning.

2. Lead Generation and Prospecting:

● Identify and target potential clients, partners, and strategic opportunities within defined markets or industries.

● Initiate outbound outreach efforts through email, phone calls, social media, and other channels to establish initial contact.

3. Relationship Building:

● Build and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.

● Establish trust and credibility through effective communication and engagement.

4. New Market Entry:

● Assess and strategize entry into new markets or segments, including expansion plans and go-to-market strategies.

● Identify key market entry challenges and develop solutions to overcome them.

5. Negotiation and Closing:

● Negotiate contract terms and conditions, ensuring they meet both clients needs and company objectives.

● Close sales and work towards achieving and surpassing sales targets.

6. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

● Collaborate with product, and customer success teams to align strategies and optimize client satisfaction.

● Provide feedback from the market to the product development team for future product enhancements.

7. Reporting and Metrics:

● Maintain records of all interactions, leads, and potential opportunities in a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

● Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as partnership success, lead generation, and market expansion progress.

8. Communication and Presentation:

● Deliver presentations and pitches to potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to convey the value proposition of the company's products or services.

9. Perform other duties, as assigned

Requirements:

Required

● Proven track record of success in a BDR role in B2B SaaS, ideally in a similar industry.

● Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather and interpret data and market insights.

● Versatility and adaptability to work on various projects and initiatives.

● Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

● Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills to effectively engage with prospects and address their concerns.

● Resilience, persistence, and the ability to handle objections and rejections in a professional and persuasive manner.

● Self-motivated and driven to achieve and exceed sales goals, with a competitive mindset.

● Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and report on progress.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate and timely record-keeping.

● Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Conditions:

● Job type: Full-time

● 9:00-am - 6:00 pm work (1-hour break, 8-hour workday)

● Weekdays (Mon-Fri)

● Work from home permitted

Holidays and leaves:

● Full weekends (Saturday, Sunday and public holidays in Hawaii)

● Sudden time-off requests due to family reasons are accepted

Work environment:

● Work location: Kakaako

● Occasional business trips to other states for on-site meeting with clients
