The major duties of this job involve connecting quickly with people in a poised, convincing, and enthusiastic way. This job will entail working at an extremely fast pace and will require working cooperatively with and through people in order to complete tasks and will be integral in motivating others. The job requires team or collaborative work within the organization and will be integral in bringing out the best in others.

 

This job will require a strong sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to get things done correctly, with emphasis on working with and through people in the process. Understanding people well and using that understanding effectively in motivating and persuading others to act, will be an important aspect of the job. It is important in this job for goals to be set and reached, and for tasks to be completed in a timely manner. Decisions will many times have to be made under pressure and will generally need the ideas and advice of others. Details will need to be handled quickly and accurately but will not be a repetitive part of the job. Many tasks in this job may entail selling or persuading others, and/or may entail training others in some capacity. This job will involve controlling all aspects of tasks, from the initiation, through the process and through to completion. 

 

As a Business Banking Center Manager, you will lead the Banking Center in providing and exceptional client experience and spend the majority of your time working with clients and associates. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including training and coaching a successful sales team in the pursuit of small business and consumer clients for the bank while acting as a key point of contact for clients. You will have responsibility for you and your team to achieve specific sales and service goals by providing a full range of Business Banking services to clients with an emphasis on deposit, treasury management and loan products. You will actively participate and represent our Bank in the community, drive the Work Perks Banking initiatives with business clients, and follow and implement the Customer Privacy and Information Policy & Procedure for communication with clients.

 

Additionally, Business Banking Center Managers are expected to adhere to the bank's operational compliance, audit and security policies, build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates, and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Serving as a leader, you will work towards reinforcing and improving the performance of your team to ensure results that surpass the internal and external standard of excellence. 

 

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Associates Degree or equivalent
  • 3 years banking experience with external business development experience
  • Must be/become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as required by the S.A.F.E. Act
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and NBH's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications: Ideal candidates for this position should possess some or all of the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Finance or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • Treasury Management sales experience
  • Consumer lending background and business lending experience
  • Bilingual language skills
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of risk management
  • Passionate about proactive sales and the prospecting of new business
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; demonstrated ability to speak effectively to internal and external clients
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately
  • Ability to think logically in order to analyze situations and make sound decisions
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Capacity to work with multiple computer and software systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Banking specific systems
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as cash back and percentages

Work Environment:

  • Office setting
  • May be requested to work evenings and weekends for special program events
  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected
  • Standing for extended periods of time (typically no longer than 8 hours)
  • Must be able to work at a rapid pace for long periods of time
  • Must be able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp and hold tools and other items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday
