This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your DoD Secret clearance.
This position will be the sole support for an IT Development Team in the initial stages for the development of a web based application that provides Inventory Management, Financial Management, Configuration Management, Maintenance Tracking and Reporting services. You would be responsible for the creation of Process Flows, Business Requirement Documents, Software Requirement Specification, User Manuals, Training artifacts and more.
Full time on location is required until training is complete (estimated 3 months) then a Hybrid work option is available.
In this role, you will:
- Documents requirements, defines scope, objectives and business justifications, and formulates executive summaries and project charters and write requirements and specifications of software applications.
- Multi-task capability, handling multiple projects and serve as advisor for the Development Team.
- Serves as primary contact and technical advisor to Stakeholders and system users.
- Follows established architecture standards as well as software development lifecycle and project management lifecycle.
- Participate, represent, guide and provide critical analysis expertise to the group and may lead group discussions and collaborative effort to define and develop user-requirements.
- Extensive technical knowledge of Information Technology field and computer systems.
- Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal) skills, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take the lead on the most complex projects and work in a complex diversified application development environment.
- Strong ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize.
- Must display initiative, ability to work independently and be able to use extensive independent judgment.
- Must display the highest level of critical thinking in order to weigh alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with the business strategy.
- Experience creating training documentation and aids. Experience as a training instructor is a big plus.
- A minimum of six or more years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Project Analyst or in a related area is desired, but not mandatory.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A U.S. citizenship.
- An active DoD Secret security clearance with Background Investigation within the last six years or on Continuous Evaluation.
- A Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
- A strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Outlook); and other presentation software. Experience with Power BI is also preferred.
- A superior customer service and communication skills.
- An excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- To be reliable with exceptional attention to detail.
- To be comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
- To excel in a fast-paced business environment while demonstrating composure and professionalism.
- Previous experience with SQL Server and .Net would be helpful.
- The ability to travel 10%.
