Role: Business Analyst - Jr
Location:Washington DC - 20049
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Description/Comment:
• Responsible for analysis and evaluation of user business problems and development of system recommendations to meet requirements.
• Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for business application development.
• Interviews end users to obtain and document the detailed business requirements for projects. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
• Combines understanding of IT and business processes to recommend solutions.
• ssignments typically include problem definition, evaluation of requirements, and implementation of systems to meet business and user requirements.
• Experience developing use cases, use case model, supplementary requirements, and business rules is essential.
• Strong knowledge of MS Project, Excel, MS Word and Visio Drawing tool along with general familiarity with Outlook and other MS Office applications is also required.
• Excellent analytical skills and communication skills required. 0-3 yrs of prior experience.
Additional Job Details:
• Team lead with the National Operations Committee, develop system reports using Salesforce, and Zendesk, collaborate with multiple business units across AARP Foundation and AARP.
• ctively participate in the monthly National Leadership Team meetings.
• Participate as a super user on the Volunteer Portal development projects and user testing for the Tax-Aide team.
• Willingness to travel.
• Required at least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
• Salesforce System Admin certification highly preferred.
• Experience using Zendesk ticketing system or similar system as well as JIRA are highly preferred.
