Sabot Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Business Analyst with Federal or State Government Child Welfare department experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to our business processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall operational performance. This role requires a deep understanding of process management, documentation, and the practical application of methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
Responsibilities:
- Create a Business Process Redesign plan for the preparation of a CCWIS replacement project based on proven methodology.
- Develop a communication plan that encourages early engagement and buy-in from stakeholders.
- Assist End Users and stakeholders in resolving data quality issues and/or correcting data errors in data quality reports.
- Coordinate with program staff to develop data quality measures and KPI’s.
- Develop and distribute data quality reports.
- Attend Children’s Bureau webinars and review Technical Bulletins to ensure compliance with federal guidelines.
- Through actionable data, develop training and documentation, implement performance monitoring and evaluation methods, and drive the prioritization and development of work processes, system development, and responses to issues impacting operations.
- Create a centralized index of artifacts in Microsoft Teams, formatted so it can be kept current by the program team.
- Identify the important objectives of each business process (the “what”, not the “how” in system requirements) to maximize the use of configuration and minimize the need for customization in a modernized CCWIS solution.
- In collaboration with the Project Management Bureau, provide guidance for the overall planning and coordination of the BPR project.
- Use a proven methodology to create and manage a project risk register.
- Using service desk ticket analytics, identify, track, and prioritize training and systems issues impacting data quality.
- Maintain a training and documentation site that all users have access to.
- Hold training sessions and alert users of material updates in application manuals.
Must Have:
- Proven experience in business process analysis and improvement, with a strong understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Sparx, Bizagi).
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of project management principles and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience building and implementing a CCWIS system for State or Federal Government
- Familiarity with ERP systems and understanding of how business processes integrate with these systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), or Agile methodologies is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business process analysis/improvement role.
