The commercial Business Analyst will manage the key day-to-day activities related to managing our business analytics, data, and insights. This role will report to the SVP of Sales Operations and Enablement. Knowledge of the consumer-packaged goods and specifically alcohol beverage industry, and distributor network is preferred. We are looking for an individual who is proactive, can do attitude and action oriented for this position. Applicants should be self-starters, have positive disposition, and capable of managing and engaging in a variety of sales, marketing, and operational activities.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine the company's overall strategic plan.
- Utilize analytics to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and areas for operational improvement.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret data related to sales, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Develop comprehensive reports and dashboards to communicate key insights to executive leadership.
Market Research:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the alcohol beverage market.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks.
Performance Metrics:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on the performance of the business against established metrics.
Channel / Customer:
- Support the National Account team and Sales team with category, brand insights and data analysis to expand growth.
- Customer specific analysis (i.e. WMT - retail link).
Forecasting and Modeling:
- Develop forecasting models to predict future market trends, consumer preferences, and sales performance.
- Work closely with finance teams to align analytics with financial planning and budgeting processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product development teams to align analytics efforts with business objectives.
- Provide insights to support product innovation and development initiatives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, analytics, statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a strategic analytics role within the consumer goods or alcohol beverage industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing analytics team.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and statistical software.
- Proficient computer skills and experience to include Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, VIP, Karma Notes, NetSuite, and TABS/Nielsen.
