Department Overview
The Corporate Affairs Reporting & Business Operations team provides a critical component of the work done within Corporate Affairs ensuring proper governance and compliance in the deployment of corporate resources to further the Company’s strategic objectives. The Corporate Affairs department consists of our Local Public Affairs, State Government Relations, Federal Affairs, Community Relations, Corporate Sustainability, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance, Risk & Operations organizations. The Compliance, Risk and Operations team manages the charitable contribution application and reporting functions, contracting and supplier diversity, membership organization investments, political engagement compliance and reporting and the department’s ethics, compliance and risk functions.
Position Summary
The Business Analyst will manage charitable contribution applications by processing and validating them for payments, tracking the status and providing reporting and visual management, and ensuring all proper documentation is complete and accurate. This individual will also manage the new vendor set up for these organizations and provide updates for existing organizations. In addition, the individual will provide support on the team’s LEAN efforts and membership processing.
You must be able to travel at least 10% of the time. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $80,000
Bay Area Maximum: $120.000
&/OR
California minimum: $76,000
California Maximum: $114,000
Job Responsibilities
- Manage charitable contribution applications through validation, processing, tracking, and reporting. Ensure all documentation is complete and accurate. Communicate with internal teams to address discrepancies with the applications, payment set up, budget amounts, funding source, etc.
- Manage new vendor setup by validating if the vendor exists in SAP and submitting changes to edit/creating the account if needed through AP Vendors and Sourcing.
- Provide support for Corporate Affairs membership processing and other invoice processing.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting to support KPI development/LEAN efforts and visual management.
- Perform basic to complex research internally and externally.
- Communicate with peers inside and outside the department exchanging ideas, gathering information and answering process related questions.
- Participate on project teams
Qualifications
Minimum:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
• 2 years of analysis experience
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain by first day of employment

- Experience with SAP (processing non-PO invoices, looking up payment information, etc.), Ariba (contract processing and Taulia), and Blackbaud’s Grantmaking system (charitable contribution application processing and reporting)
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel and Power BI
- Advanced problem-solving and strong math skills
