Highline Warren is a vertically integrated manufacturer and distributor of consumable and maintenance products within the North American automotive aftermarket, primarily providing conventional and synthetic lubricants, windshield washer fluids, antifreezes, and chemical products. Manufacturing and distributing over 25,000 products across owned brands, licenses, private label and third parties, we are also the largest and lowest cost producer of windshield wiper fluid and passenger car motor oil. With a diverse platform and vertically integrated capabilities across 12 manufacturing and 15 distribution centers, Highline Warren employs over 1,400 individuals who serve over 14,000 customers with $1.5 billion in annual revenue.
In November 2020, Highline Aftermarket and Warren Distribution were brought together to create the company it is today. This new company brought together over 100 years of liquids manufacturing excellence with a national distribution network and enabled us to offer value others can’t: unmatched assortment, scale, and tailored service. We want to keep our internal and external customers at the center of everything we do and are building our first-ever communications function. We are looking for a driven leader who can help us develop a robust communications strategy, including prioritizing which elements we should focus on first to drive the greatest impact on our company.
Summary of Role
The Business Analyst plays a crucial role in our organization by analyzing sales data and providing actionable insights to improve sales productivity. This role will work closely with key business partners and cross-functional teams including but not limited to: Sales, Finance, Inventory, and Category Analytics. This role will act as an internal consultant supporting the team to develop and execute a collaborative business strategy focused on sales volume and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions outlined below:
- Download and clean data from customer systems, learning the intricacies of each data set to fully understand how the main data model is built
- Manage customer portals to update product information and run customer reports
- Create analytics processes, customer and brand POS dashboards, and analyses to showcase sales KPI’s and data trends that highlight opportunities and risks to the business. Sales KPI’s include but not limited to; Sales, gross margin, inventory, purchases (gross and net), damages, undamaged returns, fill rate, service level, and in-stocks
- Analyze and report data insights, identifying issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
- Identifies opportunities and makes appropriate recommendations to improve processes and/or operating efficiencies. May perform as customer advocate
- Analyze complex data requests derived from multiple data sources in support of organizational goals and strategy for internal customers
- Build effective working relationships, partner and influence stakeholders within and outside the Merchandising team to achieve results
- Develop understanding of departments and targeted merchandising strategies that will drive results
- Manage, prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously with varying completion dates and competing priorities
- Work in a challenging environment relying on problem solving skills
- Identify problems and ensure the prioritization and escalation is appropriate

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (Analyst, Data Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering)
- Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Outlook), Python, R/RStudio, SQL, SAS, JMP, VBA, Google Analytics
- Syndicated experience preferred: Circana/NPD, IRI, and/or Nielsen/GFK
- 1-3 years of experience in finance or sales analyst role
- Required capabilities:
- Create models and analysis tools that are dynamic, accurate, and easy to understand
- Interpret and articulate insightful actionable conclusions and effectively communicate to stakeholders
- Take initiative and lead projects to completion
