Business Analysis Specialist, Aerospace It

As a Business Analysis Specialist (IT) within the Aerospace Front Line IT (FLIT) Manufacturing team, you will be a member of a team of Business Analysts supporting the Global Aerospace Business Manufacturing IT Systems. This is a functional role where you will be expected to work directly with customers, configure/support applications, gather requirements, and lead small project efforts to support our plans. PPG's aerospace business is a global team comprised of Transparencies, Coatings/Sealants/Packaging/Adhesives, Engineered Materials, Chemical Management Services platforms operating many facilities across the globe. As a Business Analysis Specialist, you will partner and collaborate with partners, customers, internal IT teams, and external consultants leading projects, gathering requirements, collaborating on system enhancements, facilitating user acceptance testing, and being the liaison between IT and other departments. With distinct business functions operating out different facilities you should be open to a moderate amount of travel up to 50% annually to support project and business objectives. This opportunity is based in Los Angeles, California or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You will report to the IT Manager Aerospace.
Key Responsibilities
• Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships inside and outside of your team.
• Be a quick learner of new topics and flexible to change.
• Experience in gathering requirements, functional design, testing and working with business processes.
• Understanding of how IT affects an organization and ability to link it to redesigned business processes.
• Lead small, medium, and large sized projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Ability to work in a Hybrid work model with 3 days in the office each week.
Qualifications
• At least 4-year degree or higher in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 5 year of IT or a related discipline experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Problem-solving and Business Process Analysis skills.
• Must have a systems and process orientation.
• Experience with participation on IT project teams.
• Can foster the development of junior team members.
• Experience in any of the following technologies are a plus: QAD, Loftware, Kronos, and GE Proficy (Historian, Plant Apps, Operations Hub).
• Experience working with process control or IT infrastructure teams is a plus.
• Must be a US Citizen.
