The Business Analysis Agent is responsible for the development and implementation of tools, analytics, and reporting that assist the Revenue Management team in maximizing ticket revenue, enabling better decisions, achieving strategic objectives, and increasing efficiencies. The Business Analysis Agent has a general understanding of various analytical assets across the organization including science modeling, pricing system capabilities, inventory management capabilities, data warehouse infrastructure, and other operational capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and enhance business tools and processes that improve sailing management, increase efficiencies, support strategic projects and objectives, and enable better decisions. Must use logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software along with a strong understanding of the business to design, develop, test, and implement effective and elegant solutions to business needs.
  • Partner with IT on small to medium-scale mainframe and Data Warehouse projects during key phases of the project lifecycle and provide guidance involving data requirements (fields, tables, and elements needed plus frequency of data updates). Write queries and conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed for each enhancement and new system.
  • Query and analyze data using approved reporting tools to reach concrete conclusions through interpretation of data and present results in a clear and concise manner. Prepare and present findings and proposals to both the working team and senior management (SVP, EVP, etc.) to drive results. This will require logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software along with understanding of the business to draw and analyze relevant data.
  • Partner with the contact center and customer service teams to find ways to automate recurring needs/questions. This will require logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software along with understanding of the business to design, develop, test, and implement technical solutions.
  • Collaborates across several business areas to streamline and automate daily tasks that improve business effectiveness and efficiency. This will require logic, coding, knowledge of different databases and software along with understanding of the business to develop effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Business, Economics, Finance or Marketing, Required
  • 3+ years Revenue management or related analytical experience, Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technical inclination working with advanced Excel/VBA functions, Tableau, SQL, Hyperion, and SAS Enterprise Guide to build the tools that meet the business need.
  • Working knowledge of database structure
  • Sound understanding of revenue management concepts and principles
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle changing priorities with high level of quality
  • Ability to understand and define business problems and recommend solutions to leadership in easy-to understand business terminology is critical to success in this role
  • Must be a self-starter who can progress on projects with moderate guidance from the management team
  • Must be able to review new reporting, tools, and solutions/recommendations with manager, product management team, and senior-level leadership
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and consider the interactions of various business variables, operational considerations, and data limitations in creating tools that address business challenges and allow users to draw insights, develop deeper understanding, and make better decisions that result in improved performance

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: No travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

The range for this role’s salary is $71,096 - $95,980. Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
