School Bus Transportation Monitors are responsible for assisting with the safety of students to and from school

Part-time opportunity 20-25 hours per week M-F

Days/hours coincide with those of students traveling to and from school

TMS is seeking part-time transportation monitors to work in Hartford, CT and surrounding areas

Requires working both an AM/PM bus (run) shift

Attend all safety and training meetings

Report any student issues and inappropriate behavior TMS and the school

Adhere to all school district, State, Board of Education regulation, laws and policies pertaining to duties, confidentiality, security and ethics

Good verbal and written communication skills

Experience with school age children Pre-K - 12

Assist students as needed

Reinforce bus/van rules with students

Conduct seatbelt and special equipment checks

Ensure an adult is present with student/s at pick up and drop off both at home and school

Know assigned route and students, ensure students exit at their scheduled stop

Develop a positive professional relationship with students, parents, school personnel, and bus driver

Job Type - Part time

Split shift 20-25 hours per week Monday - Friday requires an AM and PM (run) shift

AM arrival 5:30 / 6:00 - Return approx

PM arrival 1:30 / 2:00 - Return approx

$16.50 per hour, paid biweekly

Accrued PTO time

Working/volunteering with school age children (preferred)

High School or equivalent required

Pre employment background and drug test required

21 years or older required
