Bus Driver/Trainer

DETAILS ABOUT THIS POSITION:

• Hourly range: Step 1 $24.50 - Step 7 $32.84 (Initial salary placement for this position is from Step 1 to Step 3 depending on the amount of reasonably related experience)
• Length of Work Year: M-F / 12 Months
• Location: Transportation
• Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:

• Five (5) years of successful driving experience with a demonstrated record of safe driving experience as a Bus Driver.
• One (1) year of experience in school bus driver training.

Required Attachment:

• Resume
• Possession of a valid and appropriate California BP Driver's License
• Acceptable driving record and qualify for insurability by the District's authorized insurance carrier
• Driver-Trainer Certificate
• California Special Driver's Certificate
• Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate or equivalent, or pass a test administered by the CHP.
• All applicable state and federal licensing requirements. Must successfully complete all portions of Department of Education (D.O.E.) for School Bus Instructors before position takes effect.
• CPR & First Aid Certificate - CPR and First Aid courses must be in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Online certifications will not be accepted. Please Note: A BLS certificate alone does not meet the CPR/First Aid requirement. In addition to BLS you must attach a First Aid Certificate.
