Every day hundreds of children participate in fun and engaging YMCA programs. Be part of an amazing team of staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills, and support children as they grow and learn.
Day Camp season runs June 24 through the end of August (start dates vary by location) with trainings for some positions beginning in early June. Shifts range from 6:45am - 6:00pm. Day camp program sites are located throughout the community surrounding our branches at local schools and parks.

ResponsibilitiesThis role involves transporting clients as a CDL "authorized driver" for the YMCA. Authorized drivers are a safety-sensitive position. If you agree to become an authorized driver, you must clear a drug test upon hire for substances that would impair your ability to drive (including marijuana). Other requirements for CDL authorized driver duties include being 25+, having a valid driver's license for at least 4 years, and a clean driving record to YMCA standards (no more than 2 minor moving violations within the last 3 years, no major violations such as DUI/DWI, and no tickets 20+ miles above the speed limit).

QualificationsWhat we're looking for in an applicant
This is a safety-sensitive role that requires you to become a CDL "authorized driver" for the Y. Potential offers are contingent upon meeting the following conditions: Being 22+, having a current medical examiner's certificate, a valid driver's license for at least four years and possessing a driving record that meets Y standards (no more than two moving violations within the last three years, no significant incidents such as reckless driving, DUI/DWI, no tickets 20+ miles above the speed limit etc. within the last 5 years) You must also pass a drug screen that will test for impairing substances, including marijuana.
Preferred Education/Experience
Four years or more general driving experience, with bus driving experience preferred.
Current state approved first aid certification.*
Current state approved CPR certification.*
Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.). Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.
Experience with anti-racism practices and coalition building.
* At hire or earliest possible training.
