PRIMARY FUNCTION: Assist with the safety of students during loading, unloading and while en route to and from school to include students with special needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • High school graduate or equivalent. Ability to deal with exuberant behavioral characteristics of riders, sufficient strength, agility and dexterity. The employee is required to stand; walk; and twist/turn. Some climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, pushing and pulling as needed to assist students is required. The employee must occasionally push/pull or drag up to 100 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to recognize and move quickly to solve problems, familiarity with the proper use of wheel chairs, braces, crutches, etc. Possess personal characteristics of flexibility, sympathy, understanding, patience, friendliness and emotional stability
