Position Summary:

Responsible for efficient and accurate operation for CNC plasma or oxyfuel cutting machines to cut metal pieces according to specified dimensions and designs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and prepare CNC Burn Table equipment for production runs, including loading raw materials and securing them onto the cutting bed.
• Interpret and load cutting programs into the CNC control system, ensuring proper dimensions, shapes, and specifications.
• Inspect raw materials for quality and conformity before loading them onto the Burn Table.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure accuracy, adjust settings as needed, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the cutting process.
• Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on the Burn Table and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records of production runs, including materials used, machine settings, and any issues encountered.
• Work closely with other team members, such as engineers, fabricators, and quality control personnel, to achieve goals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proficient in operating CNC plasma or oxy-fuel cutting machines and understanding of related software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues during machine operation.
• Precision and accuracy in executing cutting programs and inspecting finished products.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy materials.
• Effective communication and collaboration with team members.
