Sonitrol Security Services, a Pye-Barker Fire & Safety company, is hiring for a Burglar Alarm Service Technicianin Charlotte, NC.
This position is responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, and inspecting security systems. Ensure that all systems and components are maintained according to industry standards and the operational requirements of the customer. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, burglar, access control, and CCTV systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Installation and inspection of security alarms and associated low voltage systems
• System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
• Make connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center
• Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers' security equipment
• Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
• Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
• Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management
• Perform other duties as required

Education and Required Skills:

• High School Diploma / GED
• 2+ years of experience servicing security alarms
• Ability to install, inspect, or service security alarms
• Familiarity with one or more of the following product lines; Honeywell, DSC, Napco, Hikvision, Keyscan, Door King, Firelite, Silent Knight, DMP
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must read and speak English
• Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
