Job Purpose:
Ensures effective logistics of bulk goods at the site which includes timely and accurate tracking and reporting of incoming and outgoing materials and inspection, tracking and movement of materials stored in railcars. Includes oversight of 3rd party bulk truck contractors according to prescribed methods and criteria.
Essential Functions and Requirements:
- Performs tasks to prepare railcars and hopper trucks for shipment of finished goods, including the documentation for all shipments.
- Moves and stages railcars using mobile railcar mover.
- Gathers samples of material from railcars and hopper trucks and when required, submits the samples to the lab for testing.
- Completes inspection and weighing of railcars and hopper trucks
- Submits daily data entry of railcar information and verifies Certificate of Analysis for raw material.
- Conducts inspections of equipment including the mobile railcar mover and aerial lift and completes corresponding paperwork.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain awareness of and performs tasks in compliance with all internal policies, procedures and practices, as described in the Employee Handbook, all Safety Manuals, all Quality System Procedures, and other instructions provided by management, as well as applicable OSHA regulations.
- Identifies, troubleshoots and reports the following to management: suspect or nonconforming material; issues related to the inspection of railcars, hopper trucks, the mobile railcar mover or aerial lifts; and safety environmental and quality incidents.
- Effective verbal communication with co-workers and management is required. Certain reports and other communication will be required in writing.
Pre-Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent;
- Produce acceptable scores on the following ACT Work Keys tests: Applied Mathematics, Graphic Literacy and Workplace Documents.
- Preferred candidates should have prior experience working with railcars and hopper trucks.
- Prior work history in a manufacturing environment with experience in inventory management is also preferred.
Salary:
- Starting pay is $20.25.
- After 6 months the employee will also receive a 50 cent per hour increase.
