The Village of Orland Park's state of the art Sportsplex facility currently seeks a responsible, mature, patient and kind individual to oversee the Kidz Room as a Building Supervisor. The Part-time Kidz Room BuildingSupervisor will lead and supervise playroom themes, games and activities, in addition to enforce playroom policies and supervise Kidz Room staff.
Key Responsibilities
The Kidz Room is a safe space for members to leave their children, ages six (6) months to ten (10) years old, in the care of a trusted professional while they enjoy the benefits of the Sportsplex facility.
This important role is responsible for maintaining the highest level of comfort, fun and safety within the Kidz Room by managing the entry and exit procedures, interviewing, training and supervising staff, enforcing and/or adjusting policies as needed, assisting with the development of staff schedules to ensure coverage during all hours, and creating/implementing ideas for activities and games for the youth in attendance on a daily basis.
Additionally, this position will manage monthly themed Kidz Room decorations as well as creative bulletin board designs.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
High school degree is required. Coursework and/or training in early childhood development or education is preferred. Prior related experience with childcare is required along with knowledge and competency in the area of childcare. Prior customer service experience is preferred. The ability to multi-task and implement creative age-appropriate themes, games and activities is necessary. Must have a high level of patience and be able to work in a noisy environment.
This role is scheduled Monday - Friday, up to twenty (20) hours week. Morning availability is appreciated, with the option to occasionally cover nights and weekends as needed.

Hourly pay rate: $14.25 - $18.35 DOQ
