Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for handling repairs and work orders daily. Must be able to troubleshoot equipment, conducting ongoing maintenance of hotel, inspecting property to identify future and current needs while completing maintenance logs. This individual will need to be a team player that is willing to help in other departments, as needed.
MUST HAVE A FIRE SAFETY DIRECTORS CERTIFICATION

Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and courteous guest service at all times.
- Maintain operations including but not limited to, hotel front and back of house areas, pool, painting, HVAC units, ice machines, electrical & lighting, plumbing, kitchen equipment, emergency systems, switch rooms, roof exhaust and other mechanical equipment.
- Must be comfortable with hand and power tools, painting, minor plumbing, and some electrical work.
- Must know how to use a plumbing snake
- Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program.
- Ensure all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time.
- Uphold the building exterior & cleanliness of grounds while working with service contractors (e.g. lawn care, painting, etc).
- Respond to guest needs while maintaining the highest company standards.
- Execute emergency procedures including reporting all safety and security concerns to the Chief Engineer or the Manager on Duty immediately.
- Work independently without direct supervision.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other associates by promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious working environment
- Attend all assigned staff meetings
- Stay accessible to front desk
- Willing ness to work in inclement weather such as: snow, ice, rain, cold weather, hot weather when needed.
- A working capability with PTAC unites, electrical, plumbing and carpentry is needed, and formal training in at least one of these disciplines is preferred.
- Must be able to work mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and all holidays including on call hours.
- Able to carry/ lift and move eighty (80) pounds or more throughout the property, including up and down stairways.
- Capable of walking, including stairs climbing, ladder climbing, kneeling, reaching, bending and lifting.
