What this position is about - Purpose:
The primary goal is to oversee maintenance and technical services for the entire factory, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Responsibilities include organizing resources for production, implementing safety guidelines, and addressing potential risks. The role involves providing status reports, adapting maintenance plans as needed, and training employees according to JTI standards.
Additionally, the incumbent is tasked with controlling engineering processes, implementing continuous improvement measures, and preventing violations of the production process. Emphasis is placed on increasing key performance indicators (KPIs) with a focus on safety, quality, waste reduction, productivity, and energy efficiency. The role also involves organizing energy consumption monitoring and reporting, as well as participating in engineering projects within the designated area of responsibility.
What will you do: Responsibilities
Engineering activities

  • Ensure a reliable electrical supply and oversee the production and transportation of necessary energy resources, including compressed air, gas, and conditioned air for production, warehouses, and administration buildings.
  • Be accountable for energy consumption across all facilities.
  • Ensure full compliance with local legislation, company policies, and ISO requirements and procedures

Systems & processes
  • Design, implement and maintain effective applicable Maintenance systems and processes, to further improve productivity, efficiency, energy consumption and reduce cost
  • Implement the new GSC processes and update the existing ones
  • Control Engineering operational budget

Maintenance
  • Manage maintenance operations ensuring that all Building and utilities equipment (including Electrical systems, lighting, lightning, grounding, HVAC, fans, AC units, air compressors, boilers, pumps, filters, heat exchangers and etc.) and engineering systems meet present and future needs in terms of efficiency, machine utilization, capacity utilization
  • Ensure adequate maintenance of buildings and all civil installations (roads, channels, pedestrian walks, etc.) of the factory areas. Organize related maintenance ensuring that conditions of those are not deteriorating. Ensure proper house keeping taking overall engineering areas of responsibility
  • Organize cleaning activities of all outdoor areas incl. building façade, windows, roofs, all installations, roads, green areas etc. in order to maintain highest cleaning and 5S standards

Reporting & improvement activities
  • Provide specific reports and analysis necessary to ensure the effective control of the maintenance activities
  • Make recommendations regarding improvement of all manufacturing operations
  • Prepare mid- and long-term planning programs related to machinery and equipment, capacities and staff requirements, production facility expansions and projects

Health and Safety
Any Manager overseeing a function or department must:
  1. Understand health and safety hazards and risks relevant to their area. Implement control measures to maintain a safe workplace.
  2. Develop safety methods, provide necessary training and qualifications to ensure employees are competent and work safely.
  3. Familiarize themselves with legal and JTI health and safety requirements, ensuring compliance.
  4. Promote a positive safety culture, lead by example, and continuously improve health and safety performance.

People Management
  • Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of the team reporting directly and indirectly to the incumbent, ensuring appropriate resource allocation and task distribution
  • Supervise and manage contractor works, equipment maintenance and installation with compliance to US Law, Environmental, Health and Safety policies, and JTI policies and standards

Who are we looking for: Requirements
  • University degree in business related studies or in engineering
  • 5+ years in managerial position, with experience of maintenance management in industrial factories, good knowledge and experience on machinery, Building and utilities standards, EHS
  • Fluency in English (Oral and written)
  • PC literacy : MS Office, active usage of AutoCAD
  • Basic financial skills, Management skills
