POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Broiler Cook to perform basic food preparation and operate a specific station with others or individually. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures


Top 5 Specific Job Functions:

  • Prepare items according to recipe
  • Ensure food quality
  • Set up station and breakdown station
  • Prepare food items in a timely manner
  • Assist co-workers throughout shift

Other Specific Job Functions:

  • Provides excellent Guest Service
  • Prepares the food items and pick up as needed
  • Ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes
  • Ensure all products are rotating on a first-in, first-out philosophy
  • Usage of grill, fryer, salamander and steamer to prepare menu items
  • Inspect food for proper cooking standards
  • Understand and follow proper cooking times to produce food according to specifics
  • Ensure proper use of equipment and utensils and keep them clean and well maintained
  • Maintain work stations and areas, keeping them clean and orderly
  • Completes food temperature log every 2 hours during shift
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies

Requirements:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years’ experience as a Broiler Cook in a high-volume/fine dining restaurant
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Food Handler’s Card

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

WORK SCHEDULE/HOURS:

  • Varies

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift 50 pounds

WORK CONDITIONS:

  • Grille- Hot Area
  • Standing on feet for long periods of time
