Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Broiler Cook to perform basic food preparation and operate a specific station with others or individually. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices and procedures
Top 5 Specific Job Functions:
- Prepare items according to recipe
- Ensure food quality
- Set up station and breakdown station
- Prepare food items in a timely manner
- Assist co-workers throughout shift
Other Specific Job Functions:
- Provides excellent Guest Service
- Prepares the food items and pick up as needed
- Ensures cleanliness of the operation and adherence to all State and Federal health codes
- Ensure all products are rotating on a first-in, first-out philosophy
- Usage of grill, fryer, salamander and steamer to prepare menu items
- Inspect food for proper cooking standards
- Understand and follow proper cooking times to produce food according to specifics
- Ensure proper use of equipment and utensils and keep them clean and well maintained
- Maintain work stations and areas, keeping them clean and orderly
- Completes food temperature log every 2 hours during shift
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years’ experience as a Broiler Cook in a high-volume/fine dining restaurant
- Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team
- Excellent customer service skills
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
