Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Broadcast Engineer to join our team. As a Broadcast Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our broadcasting equipment and systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our broadcast signals, as well as assisting with video production and post-production tasks.
Essential Functions
Candidates will have a vast knowledge of radio and TV broadcast engineering and transmission, news operational and technical environments which include news automation systems, studio and field cameras, nonlinear editing systems, newsroom systems, cg graphics interfaces.
Candidates must be able to lift at least 40-50 pounds, have a general IT knowledge that includes IT switches and routers, ISP modems, VOIP phones, ENCO radio automation and playout, Comrex, Gates Air Flexiva FM transmitters, GatesAir Maxiva TV transmitters, Intraplex IP Link, and 950 STL links.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of video production techniques and equipment
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Avid, or Final Cut Pro
- Familiarity with signal processing equipment and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members
Required Education and Experience
Familiarization with news operations, Ross Carbonite Switchers, Wheatstone Consoles, Studio Cameras, Prompter systems, play out automation systems, streaming protocols and gateways, knowledge on Gates Air Liquid and solid states transmitters, Ross production switchers, JVC/Panasonic and Sony studio and field cameras, Ross Xpression graphics interfaces, Adobe Premier nonlinear editing systems, and other related gear as necessary.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
