Customer Service Specialist
Job Description:
Durable Medical Equipment provider is looking for someone with experience in the areas of insurance pre-certification, basic Customer Service and administrative skills.
The perfect candidate will be proficient in data entry and insurance verification and interpretation within the Brightree software program. You will be required to input customer information, ensure the necessary documentation is obtained prior to dispensing supplies. Follow up with care managers regarding revisions and or updates to correct authorizations.
You should have basic Customer Service skills and be able to switch between phone calls, billing, and answering emails on a constant basis. You need to be comfortable reaching targets and goals with minimum supervision.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Extremely organized and self-motivated
- Computer literate – Microsoft Outlook and basic Excel experience
- Intermediate / Advanced knowledge of the Brightree software system functionalities required
- Medical Certification a plus
- 2 years of ICD-10 billing/coding experience required
- Knowledge of the HCFA-1500 form
- Excellent communication skills
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage via Brightree and insurance portals.
- Obtain authorizations for new and recurring members, verify units and items are correct
- Logging Par’s and attaching authorization to PAR Identification number
- Have basic product knowledge of ostomy and woundcare supplies

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
