TRC is seeking a highly motivated and experience Bridge Engineer to conduct Quality Control / Quality Assurance reviews on Major Bridge Projects for our transportation practice in Baton Rouge, LA.
The ideal candidate will have experience working on Louisiana DOTD bridge projects, be a team player, and be enthusiastic in working with other engineers, project managers, and other technical staff conducting QA/QC reviews of contract documents for load rating and design of new bridges and bridges to be rehabilitated.
- Participates in the QA/QC review of the design of new bridges as well as bridges to be rehabilitated.
- Conduct QA reviews of project plans, specifications, reports and cost estimates.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
- Ability to provide QA/QC on design calculations, design plans, inspection report, load rating calculations and reports etc.
Requirements:
- MS or PhD degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 20 or more years of Bridge Design, Bridge Rehabilitation Design, Inspection, and Load Rating experience
- Professional Engineer License (Louisiana)
- Experience working with complex software such and MDX, MIDAS, LUSAS, AASHTOWare, Bentley Bridge Design Software, LARSA, etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be flexible, well organized, accountable and dependable
