Position Summary: This position efficiently carries out all brewing operations. The Brewer will work closely with the Brewing Manager and team to help facilitate daily brewing tasks and keep the brewhouse clean and organized.
Job Responsibilities:
- Mix tea and herbs based on Brew Dr. formulations
- Ensure all batches are weighed correctly and brewing SOPs are followed
- Work with brewing manager to ensure the production schedule is followed
- Work with brewing manager to monitor ingredient inventories
- Clean out brewing and fermentation tanks
- Move pallets of ingredients and other supplies with a pallet jack or forklift
- Lift and pour sugar
- Correctly and accurately pour hot and ambient water
- Connect valves and hoses to correct tanks
- Ensure that GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) are followed at all times
- General cleaning, organizing, and taking out the garbage
- Gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
- Follow all food safety directives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate in a highly diverse multicultural environment
- Willingness to have a flexible work schedule
- Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for an extended period, bend, climb, and perform repetitive hand motions
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the worker may be exposed to inside environmental conditions, hot fluids, pressurized vessels and transfer lines, strong odors, chemicals, noise levels above 85 decibels, confined spaces, refrigerated gases, powered industrial trucks, and moving machinery.
