Breakfast Line Cook

Harvest Table (www.harvesttable.com) has immediate openings for a Breakfast Line Cook to join our Culinary team. We are looking for a Cook to join our Harvest Table restaurant, creating a unique Napa Valley dining experience.

PAY SCALE

The pay scale for this position is between $21.00 and $23.00 per hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual wage rates will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience and education.

The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to:

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Must be able to work early mornings
• Given our slower business levels we are seeking someone who is willing to get the job done independently on most days and will support on busier days
• Includes some dishwashing on slower days
• Duties will consist of assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and company goals.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in high volume restaurant 2+ years required
• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
