Primary Objective of Position:

• Prepare and oversee the breakfast area for delivery of the guests’ complimentary breakfast and customer service in accordance with the hotel’s policies/procedures, and the brand’s standards to achieve and maintain guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety and security.
• Embrace and emulate of the values of the Company Culture and Guiding Principles.

Major Areas of Accountability:

• Ensures guest satisfaction by preparing breakfast daily according to operational policies and standards and maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Prepare and set-up breakfast items.
• Greet and acknowledge guests as they arrive. Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation with guests.
• Bus and clear tables, straighten chairs and properly arrange the furniture.
• Brew fresh coffee as needed.
• Restock drink and food items and other supplies (ex. Plastic ware, napkins, cups, etc.)
• Maintain the cleanliness of the breakfast area, keeping it orderly.
• Wiping up spills.
• Empty trash receptacles.
• Thank guests as they depart.
• Clean all equipment and breakfast/kitchen areas.
• Sweep and mop dining /kitchen area.
• Properly store all unused drink, food items and supplies in accordance with health codes.
• Inspect storage areas, fridges, and freezers for inventory counts.
• Follow hotel operational procedures to ensure orders are placed for items that are below par levels.
• Receive supplies, date and rotate stock.
• Contributes to guest satisfaction by attending to breakfast bar guest needs.
• Acquires a working knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information to respond to guest questions in these areas as required.
• Informs manager of any guest dissatisfaction.
