The Role
The CAA Brand ConsultingEnvironmental Art Director will have a strong portfolio of live-event and experiential work, who thinks big and has a track record of bringing those ideas to life. Spatial/3D Design Director will play an instrumental role in visualizing creative concepts, designing experiences and delivering design requirements for Brand Consulting's telecom client.
We're seeking a confident Environmental Art Director looking for an opportunity to work on projects on the largest stages in Sport and Entertainment. You're at home creating world-class activations that grab attention and deliver results, a fast thinker who loves nothing more than visualizing big ideas from concept through to final delivery. Your portfolio includes large-scale experiential projects, as well as in-store/restaurant/public spaces and pop-up environments. You should be very comfortable visualizing ideas that sell-in concepts for both clients and account teams as well as creatively assisting develop visuals for new business and pitch opportunities.
As a Environmental Art Director, you'll work alongside Creative Directors, Art Directors & Designers. You will be led by our Executive Creative Directors to turn insights into ground-breaking creative concepts. You'll also collaborate with our wider global CAA Brand Consulting creative group on projects and new business pitches.
This is a key role for an energetic and ambitious Environmental Art Director who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to Brand Consulting's continued growth, as well as shape the creative for some of the world's most iconic brands and talent.

- You'll be a pro at presenting - effectively communicating and selling creative concepts and BIG ideas to colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- You'll have expert design craft and technical awareness across Adobe CC, CAD, Spatial/3D design and Microsoft software packages.
- You'll be able to quickly communicate your ideas through sketches, comps, mood boards and visuals
- You'll love working collaboratively with Executive Creative Directors, Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, and other creative specialists across all global regions where needed.
- You'll have a keen eye for detail, a love for materiality, fabrication and the creation of comfortable and usable space that makes people want to come back for more
- You'll have good commercial awareness, ensuring that the creative vision is relevant and achievable throughout all processes of project delivery.

The Department
CAA Brand Consulting is a strategy-led, full-service marketing agency with expertise in Cultural and Consumer Insights, Data and Analytics, Talent/Influencer and Property Partnership Advisory, Experiential, Social Impact, Creative Services, and Content and Digital Strategy. Responsibilities
- Develop initial ideas and acquire key information about potential projects, discuss requirements in detail with Creative Directors and Designers (the brief) and set project deliverable schedules
- understand clients' needs and the needs of the people using the environment to develop design concepts and establish final deliverables
- consider materials and costs according to provided budgets
- conduct feasibility studies for projects
- research and gather information and photographs relating to the project
- produce 'sample' or 'mood' boards to present to internal team and clients
- prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, using computer-aided design (CAD) software and 3D software
- survey buildings and environments
- work in a team with other designers
- supervise work at the design stage and on-site
- work closely with production department to establish feasibility of design concepts, with fabricators, vendors, architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and contractors
- Prepare final build drawings for fabricators and vendors
- keep up to date with new developments in the design industry and environmental design trends
- Stay ahead of new software options for imaging/designing environments
- Generating, Developing and Presenting creative concepts and campaigns for our telecom client under the guidance of our Executive Creative Directors.
- Collaborate with a wide range of people across the whole agency. Account Management team Strategy and Planning team, Creative Directors, Creatives, Designers, Creative Services as well as sourcing and managing external creative specialists to help bring our creative vision to fruition
- Presenting ideas to internal teams and clients
- Running and contributing to internal creative inspiration session and workshops.
- Mentoring junior members of the creative team
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing or a related area
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience in a marketing firm, ad agency, or equivalent in-house environment
- Exceptional environmental design thought leadership and execution
- Exhibits a high degree of personal drive and can pursue own intuition and vision
- Passion for sports, entertainment, live-events and youth culture
- Impressive ability to immerse in the brand and develop a knowledge base of category differences, including sport/entertainment vernacular and specific terminology for the variety of athletes, entertainers & audiences
- A professional, detail-oriented individual with strong graphic design, environmental design and marketing ability for multiple channels in support of our client's sports/entertainment categories and business units
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects, ensuring deliverables are achieved on time, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity
- Ability to "think on one's feet" in a fast-paced, agency environment
- Creative flair with a passion for ideas and innovative thinking
- Confident presentation skills, verbal and written
- Spatial, 3D, interior/architectural design knowhow
Location
Based out of the New York offices, this role is onsite/in office Tuesday through Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $82,000-$130,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
