General Position Scope:
Responsibilities include supervising and scheduling all Relationship Bankers to ensure branch efficiency. In addition, duties encompass the accurate and efficient processing of all Relationship Banker transactions for bank customers in a prompt and courteous manner. Incumbent is responsible for managing and directing the efforts of the other Relationship Bankers. This position carries a $10,000 transaction limit authority.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sell and cross-sell bank products to new and established customers by assessing the customer’s needs and being knowledgeable of the features and benefits of the products.
- Perform the following duties which include but are not limited to: cashing checks, processing deposit transactions, balancing cash drawer, issuing Relationship Banker/official checks, cash advances, collection items, processing loan payments, etc., according to the BankPlus procedures.
- Verify large items (up to $10,000) to protect against forgery, and correct deposits that may be encoded incorrectly. Approve checks up to $10,000 for other Relationship Bankers.
- Balance General Ledger accounts, Banking Center Cash and cash items. Orders cash – ships, receives, and monitors proper branch cash levels.
- Daily branch cash recap.
- Monitors, opens and closes vault. Branch Relationship Banker serves as vault Relationship Banker overseeing every aspect of the vault.
- Responsible for reviewing and sending CTRs.
- Verify Relationship Banker balancing sheets and monitor loss prevention.
- Assist customers both on the telephone and in the bank with balance information, account inquiries and telephone transfers.
- Responsible for overseeing the logging of deposits made by mail and night depository transactions, balancing and maintaining the ATMs.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of Bank products, services, policies, procedures and appropriate regulatory issues as related to daily job functions including but not limited to: Bank Secrecy Act; Privacy Act; Fair Lending Act; Regulation E, etc.
- Complete required compliance training and adhere to the Bank’s standard of conduct.
- Participate in the bank’s High-Performance Rewards Connections program.
- Make referrals to the Mortgage Center and Wealth Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two or more years of Relationship Banker and supervisory experience
- General computer and typing experience with Microsoft Office Suite, to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive reading as needed
- Ability to make difficult decisions and handle multiple tasks
