Summary: Effectively supervises branch staff. Provides loans as appropriate to creditworthy customers within limitations of lending authority. Effectively develops solid base of business by establishing and maintaining sound relationships with existing and potential customers.
Provides strong leadership in business development efforts. The work schedule for this position is Monday - Friday with some Saturday work required. Essential Duties: Effectively utilizes staff to accomplish growth and profit objectives, concentrating on the Haberfeld objectives and training program for increasing those sales while providing superior customer service.
Develops and motivates staff to meet required performance levels. Counsels and guides subordinate in the exercise of their assigned accountabilities. Reinforces adherence to job responsibilities of all positions within the branch.
Effectively manages branch lending functions, ensuring its maintenance and compliance with the Bank's established loan policies and procedures. Responsible for all consumer lending of the branch as well as non-complex small business loans within the community market. Assumption of prior Branch Manager loan portfolio.
Loans that are more complex or require more detailed analysis or follow up will be referred to the Commercial Lending area according to guidelines currently in place. Plans, implements, and maintains ongoing aggressive, sound program of business development to meet objectives. Participates in local community affairs and supports local activities.
Maintains checks on physical property and equipment; ensures observance of established security procedures. Prepares various operating reports as directed. Day-to-day operation of the branch is the Branch Manager's responsibility, but delegation of some of these responsibilities will be assigned to the Personal Banker; Branch Manager should have working knowledge needed to perform duties in Personal Banker's absence.
For example: exceptions, collection of accounts, review of Director reports, safe box functions, keys & combos, dual control procedures, CTR's, BSA, Compliance, etc. Serves as additional branch personnel to perform various customer service duties as needed, i.e. opening accounts, teller, etc.
when staffing is an issue. Responsible for opening and closing the branch on a regular basis within approved security guidelines and procedures. Follows all protocols when doing so and also ensures that a backup employee is properly trained and available to do so on an exception basis.
Maintains organization within the branch and prompt follow-up and follow-through as it relates to customers' accounts and phone calls. Responsible for sales calls within the market to increase the number of relationships therefore increasing the number of transaction accounts for branch. Performs other tasks requested by supervisor as they relate to the bank and its functions.
Working Conditions: Duties are performed in an office environment in a professional business setting. Must be able to sit at a desk and computer terminal for extended time periods while moving around within office to appropriately interact with customers and personnel as needed. Must be able to lift 20-25 pound bags/boxes of coin.
Position requires occasional travel to off-site properties. Workplace can be very fast during deadlines and peak periods of the day, week or month.
